Title: Loft condo in White
Description: This project was a makeover to a heritage style, heavy timber and brick condo in the downtown area of Vancouver
Project challenges: access to the unit, building around the heavy timber structure and solid brick walls of the existing building.
Owner Objectives: The owner of this condo had immaculate taste and a very clear idea of what we were to do. Getting this work done wasn’t always easy!
The project scope included:
Custom-made cabinets to fit into a high ceiling loft space to utilize the full ceiling height
Black granite countertops.
Large under-counter commercial style work sink
Stainless steel appliances
All new recycled and refurbished Douglas Fir flooring salvaged from the exterior walls of a 100 year-old saw mill
Light quartzite mosaic backsplash stonework
Custom cabinetry for the bathroom, laundry nook, office nook
Special application to the City of Vancouver to reclaim extra floor space lost in the original design of the two-floor condo layout.
All new lighting to accent the owner’s tasteful art collection
